Michael, Steven and Nick are young factory workers from Pennsylvania who enlist into the Army to fight in Vietnam. Before they go, Steven marries the pregnant Angela and their wedding-party is also the men’s farewell party. After some time and many horrors the three friends fall in the hands of the Vietcong and are brought to a prison camp in which they are forced to play Russian roulette against each other. Michael makes it possible for them to escape, but they soon get separated again.

After his bombardier is killed, Jake “Cool Hand” Grafton (Brad Johnson)’, a carrier-based Intruder pilot, questions the purpose of Navy bombing missions. He finds an ally for his cynicism in Virgil Cole, a bombardier on his third tour of duty, and together they ponder the notion of one unsanctioned mission “downtown”, to “Sam City” in North Vietnam.

Helena is a young girl who spent all her life in a space pod just after her birth, traveling from Earth to a distant planet where she will reunite with others space colonials, with the voice of the on-board computer as only one company. Arriving to a space station for maintenance works, Helena meets Álex, the repairman, falling in love with him quickly. But Álex, still traumatized by the ghosts of his own past, decides some days later after to meet Helena break all rules and reveal her the truth: that she is part of a secret experiment to test the effects in the human body of an elongated space travel, and that she was offered by her fathers as well another babies, in the hope to runaway from a progressively more polluted and radioactive planet Earth.

Outlaw Clint Hollister escapes from jail with the help of Marshal Jake Wade, because once Clint did the same for him. Jake left Clint just after, but Clint finds him back and forces Jake to lead him to a loot Jake buried one year ago when he quitted Clint’s gang.
