Season 3 begins three years after the Guilty Remnant descended on Miracle, Texas, where Kevin is now chief of police, a job that isn’t made any easier by the fact that the seventh anniversary of the Sudden Departure is two weeks away, and many citizens are convinced that another apocalyptic event is in the offing.

Nora goes to St. Louis on business for the Department of Sudden Departure to investigate a possible scam that involves convincing family members of The Departed that they can see their loved ones again.

As the Departure anniversary approaches, Kevin Garvey Sr. is inspired to wander the Australian outback in an effort to save the world from apocalypse.

Kevin and Nora take a trip to Australia, where she continues to follow the masterminds of an elaborate con, while he is surprised by a face from the past that takes him back to the traumatic events from three years ago.

Season 03, Episode 05 – “It’s a Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World”
Matt heads to Australia to bring Kevin home when he’s convinced he should be in Miracle for the seventh anniversary of the Departure.

Season 03, Episode 06 – “Certified”
Laurie dons her therapist cap once again to help Nora and Kevin along their paths in Australia.

Season 03, Episode 07 – “The Most Powerful Man in the World (and His Identical Twin Brother)”
Kevin’s mission of mercy finds him assuming an alternate identity.
