Hellraiser has been terrifying movie goers for almost three decades now. Since its first release in 1987 till the latest in 2011, Pinhead, the antagonist has been competing with other top movie serial killers for most gruesome character. In total there are nine films in this franchise with no signs of letting up.

Hellraiser (1987)
An unfaithful wife encounters the zombie of her dead lover; demons are pursuing him after he escaped their sadomasochistic underworld.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988)
Kirsty is brought to an institution after the death of her family, where the occult-obsessive head resurrects Julia and unleashes the Cenobites once again.

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992)
An investigative reporter must send the newly unbound Pinhead and his legions back to Hell.

Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996)
In the 22nd century, a scientist attempts to right the wrong his ancestor created: the puzzle box that opens the gates of Hell and unleashes Pinhead and his Cenobite legions.

Hellraiser: Inferno (2000)
A shady police detective becomes embroiled in a strange world of murder, sadism and madness after being assigned a murder investigation against a madman known only as “The Engineer”.

Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002)
A shady businessman attempts to piece together the details of the car crash that killed his wife and rendered him an amnesiac– and left him in possession of a sinister puzzle box that summons monsters.

Hellraiser: Deader (2005)
A journalist uncovers an underground group who can bring back the dead and slowly becomes drawn into their world.

Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005)
Gamers playing a MMORPG based on the “Hellraiser” franchise find their lives endangered after being invited to a rave whose host intends to show them the truth behind the Cenobite mythos.

Hellraiser: Revelations (2011)
In this ninth installment of the Hellraiser franchise, two friends discover a puzzle box in Mexico, which opens a gateway to Hell…
