A. D. The Bible Continues picks up where the smash hit, The Bible, left off, continuing the greatest story ever told and exploring the exciting and inspiring events that followed the Crucifixion of Christ.

As most of the world knows, the Crucifixion was only the beginning of the story. The immediate aftermath of Christ’s death had a massive impact on his disciples, his mother Mary, and key political and religious leaders of the era, completely altering the entire world in an instant. Watch as the disciples struggle to survive and share their beliefs, guiding us from the sorrow of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice to the awe-inspiring wonder of the Resurrection and beyond

Season 01 , Episode 01 – “The Tomb Is Open”
Peter and the disciples experience their darkest hour in the premiere of this miniseries that dramatizes the impact of Christ’s death on his disciples and the era’s political and religious leaders.

Season 01 , Episode 02 – “The Body Is Gone”
Jesus’ tomb is empty, and Pilate and Caiaphas suspect the disciples stole the body. The disciples journey to Galilee, receiving their mission from Jesus.

Season 01 , Episode 03 – “The Spirit Arrives”
Pilate is targeted for assassination by zealot revolutionaries during the festival of Pentecost. Meanwhile, the disciples feel empowered by the Holy Spirit and begin preaching, and Peter and John are arrested by Caiaphas.

Season 01 , Episode 04 – “The Wrath”
Pilate seeks revenge for the murder of a Roman soldier. Elsewhere, Caiaphas fails to convict Peter and John, and the church grows.

Season 01 , Episode 05 – “The First Martyr”
Pilate closes in on an assassin. Meanwhile, the disciples stand trial again, and Stephen suffers the consequences of speaking out against the temple.

Season 01 , Episode 06 – “The Persecution”
Caiaphas is challenged for the position of High Priest after having failed to silence the disciples. He then launches a campaign to persecute the followers of Jesus.

Season 01 , Episode 07 – “The Visit”
Saul targets Peter. Meanwhile, many flee the city and spread the Word as they go, and Jerusalem spirals into chaos as an arriving emperor decides Pilate’s fate.

Season 01 , Episode 08 – “The Road to Damascus”
Saul hunts for Peter and has a life-altering vision on the road to Damascus. Also: Claudia’s nightmares become a reality; Pilate’s destiny turns for the worse.

Season 01 , Episode 09 – “Saul’s Return”
Emperor Caligula makes a demand that his statue be placed in the temple, yet Pilate and Caiaphas know this will stir up a rebellion. Meanwhile, Saul returns a changed man.

Season 01 , Episode 10 – “Brothers in Arms”
Saul preaches in Jerusalem and Caiaphas fumes. Meanwhile, James the Just helps Peter, and the Zealots and Ethiopians scheme against Rome.

Season 01 , Episode 11 – “Rise Up”
James confronts Caiaphas and gains concessions for the disciples. Elsewhere, the zealot army grows, and many are drawn to His message when Peter resurrects Tabitha.

Season 01 , Episode 12 – “The Abomination”
Emperor Caligula’s statue arrives, drawing all to the battleground of the temple, in the Season 1 finale. Also: The disciples stand firm on Jesus’ message; and Cornelius becomes the first Roman convert.
