The CNN Original Series “The Hunt with John Walsh”, produced by Zero Point Featuring Walsh, a passionate victim’s rights activist, television personality and a spokesperson for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, The Hunt will expose stories of ongoing criminal investigations of fugitives, expand the search internationally, and employ the documentary, visual style of the Peabody and Emmy award winning ZPZ.

Through interviews with victims, loved ones and law enforcement, coupled with new leads, The Hunt will provide the public with salient information to facilitate the capture of fugitives profiled in the series. The July 13 series premiere episode “Shane Miller,” tells the story of Miller’s wife Sandy and daughters Shelby (age eight) and Shasta (age five), who were murdered in their Northern California home in May 2013, following accusations of habitual abuse. Sandy’s husband Shane Miller, a convicted felon and the only suspect in the case, is currently on the U.S. Marshal’s most wanted list.

Season 1, Episode 1 – “Murder in the Mountains”
Only days after Sandy and her two young daughters return home to her husband Shane Miller, citing allegations of abuse for leaving, Sandy and her daughters are found murdered, but it appears Shane has vanished into the California wilderness.

Season 1, Episode 2 – “The Enemy Next Door”
Kevin Patrick Stoeser flees when he’s discovered looking at explicit pictures of underage girls after previously soliciting teenage girls for sex; Charles Mozdir flees from California to Georgia after posting bail for alleged child molestation.

Season 1, Episode 3 – “Family Annihilator”
Help track down two fugitives who prey upon children as John Walsh brings his toughest unsolved cases to CNN. – In 1976, Brad Bishop allegedly murders his wife, his three young sons and his own mother, drives the bodies to the deep woods and burns them in shallow graves; he has evaded the authorities for over 30 years despite multiple sightings.

Season 1, Episode 4 – “Under the Influence”
Survivalist David Burgert crossed the line when he opened fire on police. Now the hunt is on. After authorities found a massive stockpile of ammunition & weapons including illegal machine guns, Project 7 members including Chezem & Burgert were arrested & convicted of federal weapons violations. Burgert was sent back to prison, this time for about 7 years. After his release from prison reportedly in March 2010 Burgert was allegedly squatting at a campsite near Lolo, Montana, about 10 miles outside Missoula, when someone called 911 to report suspicious behavior. After Missoula County deputies arrived to investigate, Burgert fled the scene in his Jeep Cherokee. After a long car chase, Burgert drove off-road, got out of his car & fired at the officers.

Season 1, Episode 5 – “Point Blank Murder”
Thayne Smika evades capture over 30 years; Richard McLean vanishes after molestation accusations. In January 1983, Sid Wells, a 22-year‐old journalism student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, posted an ad for a room for rent. 7 months later, he was dead shot in the back of the head, execution-style. The chief suspect his new roommate, Thayne Smika, a 24-year-old college dropout from Akron, Colorado. Wells allegedly had trouble collecting the rent from Smika, & authorities believe the roommates were arguing over the late rent payment shortly before Wells was killed inside the apartment. The U.S. Marshals Service says Frederick McLean has been molesting girls for at least 25 years. The vintage race car expert disappeared shortly after allegedly admitting to abusing a girl at his Temecula, CA church, who accused him of sexual molestation in early 2004.

Eleven people died seeking the American Dream. Help find the man responsible.

Season 1, Episode 7 – “Preaching Lies”
After years of alleged sexual abuse at the hands of Victor Barnard, leader of the religious sect The River Road Fellowship, two of young girls bravely leave and report the crimes to authorities; Genevieve Kelley disappears with her daughter Mary.

Season 1, Episode 8 – “Justice Denied”
Jacob Wetterling was taken on October 22, 1989 by an unknown abductor. John and Julieanne Dimitrion plead guilty to scamming homeowners.
