Ruth looks for a way to get the brainwashed children away from their new headmaster, Obadiah, but The Highest has other ideas. When River attempts to get back into The Highest good graces, he discovers Dikahn plans to make his life a living hell.

Season 5, Episode 03 – “The Night is Long”
Ruth desperately tries to prevent the mass suicide of the Rakudushi members, which includes her daughter, Callie. River has his back against the wall, when multiple adversaries threaten to make his life a living hell.

Season 5, Episode 04 – “Death Will Bring Death”
After Ruth fails to help him, River plays a dangerous game of chess to remove Dikahn from power and improve his life. Meanwhile, Ruth must stop a distraught mother from trying to escape the compound with her daughter, Olivia.

Season 5, Episode 05 – “The Measure”
The Highest holds a public trial to find and punish any traitors among the Rakadushi, and River, the new Dikahn, struggles to protect Ruth and Joan when his own loyalty is tested.

Season 5, Episode 06 – “Soup Du Jour”
After the fallout from the Gauntlet of Faith, Ruth and River find themselves at deadly odds; when Dikhan finds himself in unfamiliar territory on the compound, he makes a sinister move to regain his power.

Season 5, Episode 07 – “Revelations”
When Ruth and River become mortal enemies in the wake of the “First Supper,” Ruth is determined to kill or be killed; she makes a fatal mistake.

Ruth faces the terrifying prospect that the truth about her pregnancy will be revealed, while Lacey and Zane make yet another attempt at an exit strategy.

Dikahn’s fate pushes The Highest into a manic spiral, and his visions are too close to home, resulting in a battle for control between Ruth, River, and Obadiah.

Season 5, Episode 11 – “Sights and Silence”
Still in bad condition, The Highest orders Andrew to find Dikahn’s killer. At the same time, River and Obadiah try to capitalize on The Highest’s increasing vulnerability, and Ruth and Joan attempt to steal from River without him noticing.
