Ong Bak was the movie that first brought Tony Jaa to international stardom. There was a lot of hype surrounding the movie, as it used no wires or CGI to enhance Jaa’s incredible stunts – Ong Bak is, chrononlogically, the last film in the series, whereas Ong Bak 2 is the first, taking place many years before the events of Ong Bak.
