A deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ‘80s cultural touchstone, the new series will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity, through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.

Season 1, Episode 01 – “Pilot ”
15 years after Alex Forrest’s murder, Dan Gallagher is paroled and reaches out to his estranged daughter Ellen. In the past, a crushing career defeat drives him to first connect with Alex.

Season 1, Episode 02 – “The Movie In Your Mind ”
An intensely passionate connection turns sour when Dan realises Alex wants more than the impression she’s been giving. In the present Dan’s loved ones reel from his reappearance in their lives.

Season 1, Episode 03 – “The Watchful Heart”
A retelling of Dan and Alex’s unsettling affair from Alex’s point of view. In the present, Dan painfully reconnects with his now ex-wife as he and a friend look for evidence that might exonerate him.

Season 1, Episode 04 – “Beautiful Mosaics”
A retelling of the emotional impact of Dan’s betrayal from the perspective of Dan’s wife, Beth. As the Gallagher’s settle into their new home, Beth meets potential buyers for the house they are leaving and tries to ignore the gut feeling that something is not right in her marriage, until tragedy strikes and makes that impossible.

Season 1, Episode 05 – “Medial Woman”
A surprise encounter has deadly results, its aftermath alters everyone’s lives forever – and by the end Dan’s fate is sealed, although he doesn’t know it yet.

Season 1, Episode 06 – “The Dillingers”
Alex’s world before she met Dan is reflected through two people whose help she was incapable of accepting. Dan’s world crashes down around him when he is arrested for killing Alex.

Season 1, Episode 07 – “Best Friends”
In the present, Dan prepares for his new trial, while in 2008, Dan prepares his defense with Cabral. In the more distant past, key moments shape the woman Alex becomes.

Season 1, Episode 08 – “Caregiving”
A happily married middle-aged man pays dearly for his love affair with an enigmatic woman when she decides to claim him at all costs. A deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and 80s cultural touchstone.
