The department of Federal Justice attempts to save political face under the mask of inclusion and collaboration as they take control of the Tribal Police Force that governs the four Indian Reserves that surround the city. Interim Tribal Chief Samantha Woodburn attempts to overcome political red tape and must also prove herself amongst the old-white-boys club of the Metro Police. Thrust into an unfamiliar world, she navigates politics and procedure as she clashes with her new partner, Chuck “Buke” Bukansky, a seasoned but broken-down Metro Police detective. Tribal examines First Nation crime stories based on real world cases, including mistaken identity, pipeline controversy, healing lodge justice, social services, tobacco and missing Indigenous Peoples.

The controversial new Tribal Police Chief is forced to team with a jaded Metro Police Detective and together they deal with their tragic first case.

Sam deals with the dead body of an indigenous man being overshadowed by a pipeline protest while Buke is suspiciously missing in action.

Season 1, Episode 03 – “Indian Giver”
An explosion at an oilfield site sparks controversy between an indigenous energy company and the reserve’s citizens.

Season 1, Episode 04 – “Runs With A Gun”
Sam and Buke search for the alcoholic owner of a vehicle responsible for a deadly highway pileup.

Season 1, Episode 05 – “The Road to Hell is Paved”
An escaped murderer roams free in the city, leading the feds to send in a special agent to aid in the manhunt.

Season 1, Episode 06 – “Where There’s Smoke”
The notorious Thundercloud family is investigated after a convenience store on the reserve is pummeled by a barrage of bullets.

Season 1, Episode 07 – “The Natives are Restless”
Tensions mount between the Tribal and Metro departments when a Tribal officer is found murdered outside a water treatment plant.

Season 1, Episode 08 – “Ten Little Indians”
An indigenous teen is missing amid allegations of internal corruption and rising tensions between the departments.
